Commercial Use & Image Licensing

I love seeing my photographs out in the world, but personal use and commercial use are not the same thing. Personal use includes sharing images on your social media or printing them for yourself, friends, and family. Commercial use is any use that helps promote a business, sell a product or service, or generate income.

Examples of commercial use:

  • Business websites and social media accounts

  • Paid advertisements or sponsored posts

  • Marketing materials such as brochures, catalogs, signage or breeding and/or litter announcements

  • Product packaging, apparel, stickers, or other merchandise

  • Magazine, book, or editorial features with advertising value

Because commercial use extends beyond personal enjoyment and directly supports revenue or brand promotion, a commercial usage license is required. Licensing fees vary depending on how and where the image will be used (social media vs. packaging vs. national advertising), length of time, and whether exclusive rights are needed.

How it Works

  1. Identify your needs — Let me know how you’d like to use the image(s): website, ads, packaging, etc.

  2. Receive a quote — I’ll provide a tailored commercial license fee based on the scope and duration of use.

  3. Sign the license — Once the agreement is complete and payment is received, you’ll receive the approved, high-resolution files with the rights you need.

Important: Without a commercial license, images are for personal use only and may not be used for business promotion or profit-generating activities.
